'Big Questions' residential course at Burton Manor

This residential course below ran most successfully with 25 participants. Debate and discussion was searching, lively, usually well-informed and occasionally very contentious - which was to be expected with some of the Big Questions.
The review session at the end, and later e-mails, indicated positively favourable response.

No lectures, but information/notes provided with use, as appropriate, of web/media resources such as, the BBC In our Time & Thinking Allowed;   www.opendemocracy.net.
In association with  www.oddc.org.uk;  RWF;  www.philosophyinpubs.org.uk ; the WEA, U3A; café philosophique, scibars, Salons etc.

Facilitators and Chairs from these organizations will guide small (8 > 15 in each) group/circle sessions.    Participants will be free to select which sessions to attend from the whole range on offer.   Aim:  to keep fees as low as possible (lighter lunches, two course dinner) and thereby fill the College, extending and consolidating the informal network of social/political/philosophical/cultural discussion circles taking place in pubs, cafes, bars etc.

Fees:     single room  £70.00;   single en suite  £75.00  (shared room rates the same price)
