"We are very happy to inform you that the Research and Postgraduate Department of English, Sree Sankara College, Kalady, Ernakulam District, Kerala, affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, is celebrating on August 31st, the birth anniversary of the renowned Marxist critic and Culture Studies scholar, Raymond Williams, whose works form a part of both the undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered by the university. We belong to the tiny state Kerala at the Southern most tip of India, the land where the communist party has been voted to power many times."
